OUR
STORY
The name “Big Yellow” does not refer to big yellow pieces of mining equipment, but is inspired by the Small Yellow Snake, a historically mined system of gold lodes in Northern Queensland. Dave and Brad founded the company to establish a gold mining presence in the region, hoping to uncover the “big yellow snake” that old timers spoke of but never found.
The strength and resilience of those early miners reflect our company’s leadership and approach. Our branding draws from the ochre tones of the regions where we operate with pride.
What truly distinguishes us from other mining contractors is our leadership team. Driven by a commitment to meet our clients’ unique needs, our leaders bring extensive expertise and a fresh approach to the industry.
